Advent

Hello

I made this Advent for my great niece, she about 20 months old so doesn't really understand yet but hopefully her mom will get it out every year for her.

I went to a Dreamies all day class to make it but still had to put a few hours in at home.
It's MDF and decorated with papers, I think you can just make out the Christmas scene on the top panel.

I had trouble filling the little boxes with chocolates they were slightly too big so of course I had to eat the ones that wouldn't fit, thankfully there wasn't many, she lied!

Thanks for your visit,  I really appreciate it x

Christmas 19

Hello

Thought I'd start sharing some Christmas cards with you all.

The stamps and dies on these were a gift last Christmas from my dear friend over the pond, Lis I love them, shame I had to wait so long to use them. I already have some ideas for next year.

I created the the sparkly background by using navy blue card and sparkly mod podge.

However the first attempt at card one I created a Australian card so had to cut it down and remount it. I've done this twice on my Christmas cards this year but the other will been given to my sister as a unique card, she makes cards so will find it funny.

Chalks

Hello

Well this card didn't photograph very good but then the colours wern't very vivid.

I've not really coloured on to Kraft card, I embossed in gold and then used chalks ( I think as I've also got one with Prisma Pencils so I hope I'm showing the chalk one) to colour the flowers, which in hindsight I won't do again as it just doesn't pop.

Stamps are Stamps By Me, I had a good play and will show the others at a later date.

Remember

Hello

These were the cards I made for Rememberance Sunday.
One went over the pond to a dear friend.

I used some Altnew Poppy stamps that came free with a mag, I've seen some gorgeous cards made with Altnew Stamps but I find them a pain in the rear too much faffing for me.
I've tried several times with different stamps and thought the Poppies might make a difference as I love Poppies but it didn't.
They came with a stencil as well and that was even worse, the second card I had about 3 attempts
because each section is a seperate piece and I kept getting ink where I didnt want it, so I won'e be using that again...lol

Well that's my little moan for day.

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Thanks for your visit, Much appreicated x

Mr Pickle

Hello my lovelies

I'd like to introduce you to Mr Pickle.

We've had him about 4 weeks  and the first 7-10 days were spent hiding in my craftroom under a cupboard and then progressed to to where you see him.
He has come along a lot however he's fav place now is behind the couch but at least he is in the same room as us...lol

He wasn't a rescue cat but he spent all his time with his elder owner who sadly passed away.
It must have been so quiet for him, he's had to do alot of adjusting to all the noise with us. He is a bit of a biter and I'm hoping that will pass as he gets to know us.

I've had a good chat to him telling him he can have a really nice loving home but he has to make the effort as well...am I mad or what!

I'll keep you updated on his progress, he's just had a visit to the vets which was an ordeal for all of us and he needs to go back Friday.

Thanks for your visit x

I mad this little card for my niece.

40th

Hello All

Sharing a card I made for an ex work colleague, tried to keep it simple.

I used a Lili of the Valley stamp coloured with prisma pencils.

Can anyone recommend a good card stock for using with prisma pencils, the one I'd been using is no longer being manufactured, so they tell me.
It was only Rymans Bright white coated card but it worked a treat with Promarrkers and the
prisama pencils.

Thanks for your visit, really do appreciate it x

Hello All

My holiday was fantastic really enjoyed the girlie time and seeing my big sister!

I really loved making this card, just love how the colours worked.

I used distress oxide and an inkylicious stamp.

Sympathy

Hello

Sharing a sympathy card with you, an old work colleagues wife passed away and
I made this card for him.

The verse I used was only a cheap set but I was very disappointed that two of the verses had
whole punch marks through them, I hadn't noticed till I tried to stamp them out.

I will try to take them back to the shop but I don't have the receipt.

I so like this stamp for sympathy cards but it's yet another one I can't remember the name of,
coloured with H20's.

Thanks for popping by, much appreciated.

MDF

Hello

I thought I'd do my post before I forget again, week two starts tomorrow...lol

I created some backgrounds using lavinia stamps and a mixture of distress ink and oxides and some versafine clair inks.

I them attached them to some MDF boards front and back so you can have a different view.

I'm never sure with the white pen hi-lights, I either do to many or not enough and feel it doesn't work but this looks OK for a change.

The top two (front and back)  I sent over the pond to my good friend Lis.

As always thanks for your visit x

ATC's

Hello

Where has the week gone, I missed my weekly blog, I think it because I'm working full         time for the next 3 weeks to cover holidays and it's only week one and I'm all over the place...lol

Anyway on to my post, these are some ATC's for a Facebook swap I'm in.

The theme for these was cosmo and it was colour themed.
I used my distress inks and stamps by Inkylicious.

The theme for this one was Grungy Summer or the letter J.
I went for the letter J and did Jelly fish because I just don't get Grunge at all.......rofl

There were 4 all basically the same but I forgot to take a photo and this is no 4 which
 is the one I keep.

I used distress inks, a stencil and the Jelly fish were hand drawn,
as you can probably tell  :)

The theme here was time, so I went for  "Time for Change" and I used butterflies to represent change.

Distress Oxide, Inkylicious and I printed some free clip art for the caterpillar

As always thanks for the visit I really do appreciate it!
