Gnome

Hello

I hope you are keeping well?

A good friend and the mother of one of my nieces was 50 over the weekend, these are what I created.

The first card is from me and hubby, the various stamps were from AI (Art Impression) and creative stamping mag, coloured with Zig Real Colour Brush pens.

The second little card was made for my great niece to give to her nanny, they love to spend time in the garden together (just copied from the mag as I wasn't given a lot of notice), I couldn't resist to add the little 50 in the wellies. Stamps from creative stamping and again coloured with Zig Real colour Brush Pens and the papers were also from the mag.

Thanks for your visit I really do appreciate!

Sister

Hello

Another week gone by and its nearly April, I don't know where the weeks are going!

We've moved our holiday again to June next year, will we ever get it and really hoping that the September holiday can go ahead because I haven't seen my sister in two years now.

Talking about said sister who lives on Kos, these are the cards I've sent over to them. I really hope they get there it's very hit and miss and was even before Covid!

My first card for my BIL followed one of layout challenges, image is SU and the greeting Phill Martin with some DP, stamped and coloured with distress inks.

Sister’s card was made awhile ago and not sure if I’ve shared but I created the background by inking through a stencil and then created a frame and stamped an image that came with Simply Cards and Papercraft and a little bee, with some JND butterflies, using distress inks and Zig Real Colour.

Thanks for your visit it is very much appreciated!

Well Done!

 Hello

Well I’m glad to say my week didn’t get any worse after the washing fiasco.

So, we are just preparing the living room to be skimmed, we have been renovating our bungalow for what seems like ages, the living room is the last room that needs any major work doing and the two bedrooms are only cosmetic. Then it will be onto the back garden and I’ve been wondering how do you get on that garden rescue programme…lol

So, my little cards are for my niece and my good friends twin daughters who all passed their exams.

I’ve used Stampin Up Giggles Greetings coloured with Zig Real Colour Brush Pens, with dies and patterned papers.

I'm still working on my colouring in of Kelly Hortons Steampunk sisters, I've now done the hair.

As always thanks for your visit, I really do appreicate it!

Brushos and Gilding Flakes

Helloooo

Well I had a day off yesterday (instead of my usual Monday).
On Sunday I'd been creating some backgrounds with Brushos and Pixie powders and wanted to see the effect gilding flakes had on it.
I love my Brushos but find them a little flat so I have 3 pixie powders I use to lift them a little may add some more if I find the colours I want. Or should I try my Mica Powders?

I used French Foliage by SU, the Hello was a free stamp from Creative Stamping and Gilding Flakes, I found using the Honey Doo mixed media glue easier to use, I loved the self cleaning lid!

(Question: Does anyone know where to buy the self cleaning plastic bottles/lids from?)

Silver Gilding Flakes

Gold Gilding Flakes

As always thanks for your visit, I really do appreciate it!

The die is Crafters Companion, the flower stamp was a freebie, the butterflies are Inkylicious and the greeting is a SU stamp.

I apologies if my blog visits are a bit intermittent but I have problems with my laptop and waiting for a replacement.

It's a long post (for me)

Hi Everyone

It's been awhile since I've posted, I just haven't felt much like crafting.
We've had Gypsies in the park at the back of us and the children (I'm being polite here) have caused havoc in our garden.

Long story but please bear with me, fistly they kicked the back fence down completely, the neighbour heard them and called the police. They came round but only checked the house out and made sure the house was secure which it was.
Tuesday evening Andrew went down the garden and collected the eggs from the girls (chickens), went back up about an hour later and they had stolen two of the chickens. A bit later we actually caught them in the garden and asked them to leave, then I was threatened with having my face smashed in. Phoned the police (101) twice.
Wednesday came and went with no problems, Thursday evening I got home from work (hubby was late home that night) went up the garden to see if everything was ok and collected the eggs
(amazingly the chickens still there) . I got changed and went for a run. Got back an hour later and hubby met me at the door and I could see he wasn't happy, they'd been back and taken the other chickens and the extension on the coop. Phoned the police (101)
Friday hubby gets home and they'd taken the nesting box and the feed and water butts. So another call to the police 101 by this time I'm so bloody angry.
They said they would get someone out to us but I told them I was going to a funeral so I wouldn't be in, ok, we'll get someone to your tomorrow. No One came.
Saturday came and went with no problems but Sunday we had ask them to leave the garden again but all they did was wait a bit and then started throwing apples at the house.
Another call to 101, I said this time I know the police aren't really interested but what are my options here. They eventually got moved on on Monday (haven't gone very far) and the police finally came round on Tuesday morning, I couldn't believe it and told them they were too late, if they'd have come round earlier we may have got the chickens back, we found out later in the week they'd also taken the neighbour's pet rabbit.
I'm only just starting to relax again

Sorry for such a long post.... shall I share my card with you now, this was for my good friend from school.

As always thanks for your visit, it is much appreciated!

Lest we forget

Hello All

Boxes of Poppies!

These have been made a few weeks but I couldn't share, I had to wait till the recipients had received them.
Both have gone to good friends with husbands who were in the services and my way to say thank you for their service.
One travelled all the way to Florida to a penpal the other more local to a work colleague.

Thanks for your visit, much appreciated.

Hi all
Hope you are well?

Today's cards were made with no one particular in mind, I just wanted to try and use some papers that I've had for what seems like ever, they were from Costco a whole load of 12 x 12 and I've not even put a dent in them yet.
The first one I stamped with a SU script stamp to add something extra to the paper, the others I left as they were.

Thanks for your visit, it is much appreciated,
