Lights, Make-Up and Action!

 Hello

Another week flies by, and I ‘m closer to visiting my sister. Although all the forms and tests are a little stressful.

I have craft stuff for her, which is beginning to weigh more than my clothes!

This is the smaller version of the card I made for my sister; this one is for my niece.

Supplies used were made to surprise dies and stamps, coloured with memento inks and promarkers. The high-tops were a Digi image reduced down and the stilettos were from Creative Stamping.

Thanks for your visit, I really appreciate it!

Pink Frog

 Hello

 How are we all doing?

I managed to finish my other project from the Hazel Eaton class I did. I decided to turn it into a 50th card for a work colleague.

I’ve learnt some fantastic techniques and I will use these again.

Pink Frog stamps, Pearlywinks sprays, Julie Hicks Happy die.

Thanks for visiting, I appreciate it very much!

Pink Frog

                                                                               Hello

I did the most fabulous on-line card class last week, it was 2 projects over 3 hours by Hazel Eaton. I couldn’t watch it live as we had visitors so I’ve been catching up, the first project was a butterfly frame.

The frame was created from scratch, and it’s a very clever technique and then it’s lots of Pearly Inks sprays and Pink Frog stamps.

The second project is still work in progress, so will share that at a later date.

Thanks for visiting, it’s much appreciated!

Pink Frog

Hello

I hope you are keeping well and looking forward to the heatwave we are expecting. We can’t win can we either too much rain or it’s too hot….

I saw Hazel Eaten demonstrating for Pink Frog and she did a great technique, all you do is stamp in your image in distress oxide, sprits with water and when dry stamp again in either the same colour ink or black, I couldn’t wait to try it but I think I’ve become a little obsessed with it!

Gnome

Hello

I hope you are keeping well?

A good friend and the mother of one of my nieces was 50 over the weekend, these are what I created.

The first card is from me and hubby, the various stamps were from AI (Art Impression) and creative stamping mag, coloured with Zig Real Colour Brush pens.

The second little card was made for my great niece to give to her nanny, they love to spend time in the garden together (just copied from the mag as I wasn't given a lot of notice), I couldn't resist to add the little 50 in the wellies. Stamps from creative stamping and again coloured with Zig Real colour Brush Pens and the papers were also from the mag.

Thanks for your visit I really do appreciate!

Pink Frog

                                                                            Hello

It’s with a sad heart that I tell you that Mr Pickle was killed by car last Thursday, it will be the last cat I have as it breaks my heart. I often wonder how we managed to keep Alfa for as long as we did!

I had some happy post the weekend, which eased the pain a little and I made a couple of cards.

The stamps are Pink Frog and I used Pearly Winks ink sprays on supersmooth card.

The blue one is an inverted stepper; I wasn’t very keen on the square card with the colours but once stamped on it completely changed it.

Thanks for your visit I really do appreciate!

Birthday Girl

Hello

My little card today was for my niece, there was a lot of die cutting for this one but I think it was worth the effort.

Some of the stamps and dies were un-branded and some were from a magazine and I’ve since bought some branded ones along with the dies.

Coloured with Promarkers and zig Clean Colors Real Brushes .

Thanks for your visit, I really do appreciate it!

Fabulous Chick

Hello

What a gorgeous weekend we had, in fact it was far too hot on Sunday, so I watched England ( I always find this stressful) play Croatia.

I have a big hole in the garden…lol we didn’t expect to get as far as we did and hubby hadn’t ordered the pond lining and now that’s going to be 5-7 working days which is a pain so if it rains, I want it just over the flower bed!

My little card today was for a WW friend, the stamps are AI (Art Impression) coloured with Zig Clean colour Real Brush pens.

Thanks for your visit, it's really appreciated!

Happy Gardening!

Good morning all!

Sorry I've been a bit  awol, hubby on holiday and we've been in the garden everyday, trying to level a part of the garden where he wants to put a pond!

Here is my little shaker card which will be given to an aunty who loves her garden.

Papers were from a Peter Rabbit Mag and the stamped images came with another magazine.

Thanks for visiting I really do appreciate it!

Smart and Sassy!

Good morning everyone!

We had such a busy weekend in the garden, hubby was putting up a new feather board fence down the side of the house and in-between advising him lol I had a good tidy in the garden. I’ll be finishing off the sweeping up to day and then its window cleaning they are a disgrace from all the all the roof work.

Here is my little card, well not so little actually, it was 8 x 8 ish but it didn’t fit the envelope as I had made it too tall ( it was the heart that pushed it over the edge) but it was for my sister and she didn’t mind that little problem and looking at it now I should have taken another picture of it free standing!

The design  was taken from mixed up crafts and most of the stamps were Made to surprise stamps and the dress being woodware. Coloured with Zig Clean Colour Real Brushes and Promarkers.

Thanks for visiting I really do appreciate it!

ATC's

Hello

I’ve remembered!

Roof is still work in progress, weather hasn't been great to be up on a roof, they worked Sunday and got drenched but should be finished next week.

I have some ATC's to share with you today.

These have been made for a direct swap; we take it in turns to pick a theme and these were the first three months.

A variety of techniques used, lots of distress inks and Lavinia stamps on the first, zig real Colour and Stamps from a mag on the second and papers for the third with Hero Arts stamps.

Woodware

Hello

How are you?

I’m a little stressed, the weather is horrendous, so no more work on the roof, the wind is lifting the plastic where the ridges are and making one heck of a noise and I’m worried about it blowing off and the neighbours complaining, the weather may be like this for a couple of days!

I’ve had a new Woodware stamp and had a little play.

It was supposed to be a spotlight card but I didn't make the spotlights big enough, so I just added them back in with some 3d foam tape, which meant I had a twofer all I needed to do was colour the purple one.

Watercoloured with Faber Castell.

Thanks for your visit I really do appreciate!

Over the pond.

 Hello

How are you doing?

It’s turned rather cold again, we had a couple of BBQs the weekend and now it’s freezing again.

I’ve got plants waiting to go in but waiting for the frost to disappear and roof to be repaired before I put them out.

So my little card went over the pond to my friend Lis.

I used some new papers from Craft Clearance, spellbinders ovals and JNB butterfly, the stamps came with a magazine.

Thanks for your visit I really do appreciate the support!

JND Butterfly Plate

Hello

Hope you are all keeping well, today is very dull, not sure if it’s going to pick up.

It was while making the black and white stepper card that I decided that a new ink pad was in order (after a bit of wearing and a few photos to John).

So, I’ve started to put the date on the back of my pads at least that will let me know how old are they, one of my crafty friends says she’s on her 3rd new black one since lockdown. Wow!

The stepper card is using morning mist (as the new black one hadn’t arrived, which I think gives it a softer look and the multicolour one is distress oxides stamped with a new black ink and wow what a difference..lol ( I think they should last forever!) and it should have been an easel oval card but I put the butterflies upside down so had to take it apart and redesign it.

Thanks for your visit I really do appreciate!

Sister

Hello

Another week gone by and its nearly April, I don't know where the weeks are going!

We've moved our holiday again to June next year, will we ever get it and really hoping that the September holiday can go ahead because I haven't seen my sister in two years now.

Talking about said sister who lives on Kos, these are the cards I've sent over to them. I really hope they get there it's very hit and miss and was even before Covid!

My first card for my BIL followed one of layout challenges, image is SU and the greeting Phill Martin with some DP, stamped and coloured with distress inks.

Sister’s card was made awhile ago and not sure if I’ve shared but I created the background by inking through a stencil and then created a frame and stamped an image that came with Simply Cards and Papercraft and a little bee, with some JND butterflies, using distress inks and Zig Real Colour.

Thanks for your visit it is very much appreciated!

Sketches

Hello

I had my first jab yesterday, didn’t feel a thing, I haven’t got many side effects, just my joints feel a little stiffer than usual and perhaps a headache that comes and goes.

My cards today are from our WhatsApp group, we haven’t met since last March so we’ve kept in touch via WhatsApp with weekly sketches. Here is some of them.

Thanks for your visit, I really do appreciate it!
