Hello All

More Christmas cards for you, these are flat for posting.
The snowy scene was created with a circle stencil, used distress inks for the background, the scene was a stamp (not 100% on the make) and coloured with promarkers and lots of glitter.
The large tree was SU and various verses.

New Home

Hello All

The last half of this year has been really busy for new home cards, I've never made so many.
The first two are for nieces on both sides but I can now see that the red one is slightly wonky didn't look that bad in the flesh...lol
The third one was for our new neighbours who moved in the weekend, I used a new stamp by Lavinia that I picked up at the NEC.

I enjoyed the NEC this year but that might be because it didn't seem so busy but then at £16 for parking what do they expect and one of the exhibitors told me it might be going up to £20 which is really unbelievable!
A friend  who'd never been before came along, she's only just getting in to crafting and she loved it, she was like a shaken bottle of pop...lol

Thank you all for you kind words regarding Frankie, I really appreciate it.

As always thanks for your visit x

Hello All

Just sharing a little card I made for one of my brother in laws back in August.

The stamp was from create stamping and papers from stash.

Good news bad news time.

So bad news is my beautiful Frankie was ran over and killed. I found her in the road and I'm heartbroken, she was developing a lovely character.

And the goods news is my brother in law is making a fantastic recovery, there is still a long way to go but he is definitely on the mend.

A always thanks for your visit, I really do appreciate it.

Brushos and Gilding Flakes

Helloooo

Well I had a day off yesterday (instead of my usual Monday).
On Sunday I'd been creating some backgrounds with Brushos and Pixie powders and wanted to see the effect gilding flakes had on it.
I love my Brushos but find them a little flat so I have 3 pixie powders I use to lift them a little may add some more if I find the colours I want. Or should I try my Mica Powders?

I used French Foliage by SU, the Hello was a free stamp from Creative Stamping and Gilding Flakes, I found using the Honey Doo mixed media glue easier to use, I loved the self cleaning lid!

(Question: Does anyone know where to buy the self cleaning plastic bottles/lids from?)

Silver Gilding Flakes

Gold Gilding Flakes

As always thanks for your visit, I really do appreciate it!

Funny story!

Hello all

I've had a great week off work, haven't done much just relaxed and crafted.

My husband dropped it on my again (Thursday) that we going to an Evening Reception on Friday. The little card below was already made lucky for me..lol anyway I ask him the couples name, I only know his name he says OK say I what's he's last name, can't remember he says.
So I have a brain wave and phone the hotel and explain the situation. They tell me her name is Sarah so feeling chuffed I write the card.
Arrive at reception to find out the brides name is LISA!

The card returned home with me, not sure the inside can be saved.....we've laughed quite a bit!

Thanks for visiting, really appreciate it!

Nephew

Hi All

I've made these two cards for my nephew who had a couple of milestone moments.
He started a new job and purchased his first home.

The chocolate card was because he's gone to work for a well known chocolate company in Birmingham, the beer on the new home is just because I didn't know what to do for a male new home card...lol

Update on BIL, Wednesday they were discussing taking him off life support they were having a brain specialist visit on Friday but he came round a bit on Thursday so on Friday they gave him a tracheotomy but had to sedate him again so when we saw him Saturday he was a bit drowsy again but the nurse said something very interesting in the fact that the anaesthetic is slow leaving his system because he is on dialysis, which never crossed our minds.
He also had a good result on the Glasgow Score.
Just so glad they never rushed into any drastic decisions.
Still baby steps.

Thanks for dropping by!

80th

Hello

I so enjoyed making this card for one of my crafty friends, we had a little tea party at our Tuesday night class.
It's what they call an eclipse card and you can the original here, I made the insert by stamping in the corners and also decorated the envelope with the same stamp but forgot to take photos.

I've also got another on the go for my sister in law for January....lol

Brittania and Presscut dies, Woodware stamps coloured with Promarkers.

Update on BIL is no significant change, we visited on Saturday and it was heartbreaking!

As always thanks for your visit, I really do appreciate it x

Hello

Just reproduced some cards from a mag with the free stamps.
The bottom one I've given to my nephew.

Update on my brother in law isn't brilliant, he's had to have major heart surgery because the sepsis attacked his heart , he seems to be doing alright with that although still heavily sedated but they still need to sort the sepsis out.
He has a dedicated nurse with him 24-7.

25th Anniversary

Hello All

So here is my second card with virtually the same dies as the wedding card, I chose to use a picture from their wedding day. The large pinkish flower is handmade.

For some reason I didn't take a picture of the inside which I made to match the outside minus the white inner but gosh did I have trouble cutting out the  mirror card with no marks.
I must have used at least 4 pieces of mirror card before getting a clean piece.

My husband's brother is in a critical condition at the moment with sepsis, it's not looking good, they have him under heavy sedation.

As always thanks for your visit x

Wedding

Hello All

I'm sharing today a wedding card I made for my husbands best friends son, now that's a mouthful...lol
We had a lovely time at the wedding but couldn't believe the weather luckily the rain came later in the day so didn't affect the photo's.

Theres a good selection of dies that I've used, Presscut, Sue Wilson,Tonic and Heartfelt Creations.
Took a bit of figuring out to get my squares layered up to get the effect I wanted but got there in the end. So I repeated that on another card that I'll share later for a 25th Anniversary.
I also made a gift wallet to match.

As always thanks for your visit it is much appreciated x

Hello

Hope everyone is well and still enjoying the weather?

We had a lovely weekend down in Exmouth Devon, visiting relatives. The journey down was awful though, it took us over 4 hours on the M5. Journey back home was much quicker I'm glad to say.

My little card today is for another crafty friend, using distress inks and inkylicious stamps.
The wording was stamped with versamark and then I went over it with mica powder.

As always thanks for visiting, really appreciate it x

Hello All

So this was a very quick male card, my husband forgot to tell me till the Thursday before that we were going to a 50th party on Saturday.
So as I don't do quick cards, especially male this is all I could come up with. Not very imaginative...lol I think I should have forgot the "th" and just gone with the 50 but hey that's what you get when rushed!

As always thanks for your visit!

Baptism

Hello

The weather is still unbelievable, we now have straw for grass. I never thought I'd hear myself say this but "we need some rain....please"

On to my little card, we were invited to a baptism but it clashed with our Bird of Prey day so we couldn't attend but here is the little card I made along with a box to present it in.

I knew what I wanted to do but always struggle when it comes to using the computer go generate words and getting them in the right place, so had a little help from hubby for this one.
The cross was borrowed from a friend and was a Spellbinder die.

(Also does anyone know of any computer themed stamps, need to make a
congratulations on your new job card)

Thanks for your visit is it always appreciated x

Hello

Warning photo heavy!

My bubble had burst (footie) until the weekend...lol

No card today but wanted to share some photos of a Bird of Prey Day we had for my husbands 60th Birthday (which was last year we've only just used the gift I got him). We spent the day at the
Hagley Falconry Centre where we got see some wonderful birds, we had the most amazing day (the weather was fantastic to boot).

We saw some baby Vultures that were only 3 months old and wow were they big.......lol

I think I have all the appropriate names by the birds but if you spot a wrong one please let me know, it was a long day!
