Last Christmas Card 2016

Hi ya

This is my last Christmas card for 2016.

It was hand delivered it to a lovely lady in Florida, I had the pleasure of meeting Lis who I've been exchanging cards and emails with for a quite a few years now.

Lis and her husband Don were also very kind as to offer us a bed for 2 or 3 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I will share some photos as soon as we are home.

Hope you liked the card Lis?

As always thanks for your visit and Happy New Year to you all!

Hello All

This is the card I've made for my MIL, used the tile effect from a previous post, the stamp I've used was very popular a few years back and I thought I'd give it another outing.

Birthday

Hello All

Hope you are all well, didn't it rain Monday, my goodness it didn't stop at all.

My card today is for my niece, I used one of my favorite stamps called Daisy, with a selection of Spellbinders Dies and LoTV papers.

I didn't do a great job on the sky. it looks a bit naff...lol

Storage

Hello

I 've been so excited waiting for my husband to finish my die storage and it's finally finished.

Four, double sided magnetic boards on pulleys, the only downside is that he knows how many dies I have but he still made it big enough for more...lol

It brought to life that I've misplaced or lost one of my grand square dies, so I really hope it turns up.

As always thanks for your vsit, very much appreciated.

Lest we forget

Hello All

Boxes of Poppies!

These have been made a few weeks but I couldn't share, I had to wait till the recipients had received them.
Both have gone to good friends with husbands who were in the services and my way to say thank you for their service.
One travelled all the way to Florida to a penpal the other more local to a work colleague.

Thanks for your visit, much appreciated.

Tiled Birthday Card

Hello Everyone

Long time no post....lol

Today's card was created using a technique from a mag, creating a tile effect.

I love how it turned out. I'm in the process of making a Christmas Card with the same technique.

I'm quite heavy handed so to protect my grouting line I used artist gum, then stamped and inked it. Made sure the inks were dry before rubbing the gum off and used versamark and clear embossing powder a couple of time.

As always thanks for your visit!

Hello

Where are the weeks going, I can't believe it's time for my weekly post again...

Today's card is for my hubby for our anniversary on Friday, 16 years.

You might recognise the image, it was one that went wrong on my first attempt at my brother's 60th card...lol

Thanks for visiting!

Wednesday 5 October 2016

Hello everyone

I'm sharing the card I made for my brother's 60th.

One of the ladies at the craft group I attend showed us how to do the design and I couldn't wait to have another go when I got home and make it into a card for my brother, it's the same technique as the bird card a couple of posts ago.

The stamps used were free Sheena stamps from various mags, distress inks and dylusion gold paint through a stencil for the sun rays, Britannia dies for the numbers and SW  pierced tags( I think).

Thanks for visiting, it is much appreciated.

Inks and stamps

Hi All

On today's card I've used my trustee distress ink some inkylicious stamps and for sun rays some dylusions gold paint through a sheena stencil, which I acquired because a friend had 2...big smiley face cos I'd wanted one for ages.

Sweet and simple!

As always thanks for your visit.

Brusho's

Hello

I've been playing with my brusho's again and this colour combo came from Floral Fantasies,    Brenda used lemon and lilac but I didn't have lilac so used a light sprinkle of violet, I think it should have been a bit heavier sprinkle..lol but I really like the colour combo. I added a ink embossed butterfly by Sheena Douglas coloured with the same brusho's and the wording stamp
came from Bee Crafty.

I'll be giving it to my niece for her birthday, she is off to do her masters in a couple of weeks

As always thanks for popping by.

Birds and Blooms and a moan!

Hi All

Today's cards are using HFC stamps and dies from birds and blooms, one sheet of 12 x 12 paper, that I stamped with a stamp script, some word stamps and my trustee distress inks.
The last two I used a spellbinder and tonic dies.

I really like HFC stamps and dies but I have one gripe with them and that is that the dies don't match the stamps and it really annoys me. There is a stamp in the stamp set that I don't have the die for and dies that I don't have the stamps for, what is that all about.
It's really making me think hard before I purchase any more of them.

Sorry moan over here's my cards.

As always thanks for your visit.

Christening

Hi All

Just wanted to share a christening gift I've made, I'm not really sure about it, probably because it's outside my comfort zone.
It's a shadow box with the child's initial and on the tag is the child's name and christening information
I got the idea from the net, just hope they like it enough to put it on display...lol

Thanks for your visit.

Graduation

Hello All

My lovely niece graduated from Swansea Uni and this is the card I made for her.
Very easy to make with the help from my husband...lol I'm not very good with these sorts of folds, usually end up using loads of card till I get it right.

As always thanks for your visit.

Delicate Asters

Hello All

How's it going, gorgeous weather at the moment, no idea how long we have it for but let's hope it's a while because my hubby is doing all the cooking on the bbq and all I've had to do is the salad and I'm not complaining.

My card for today was for a friend at work, the card base has been made for a while but I didn't know how to finish it. Heartfelt Creations flower dies and the corners were one of those must have buys I needed and this is the first time I've used them must try harder to use my stash  :(

As always thanks for your visit.

Niece

Hi ya

Today's card is for my niece, who will be 12 on Friday, I thought this a great image for a bit of a tomboy...
It's a digi image, but can't remember from where, coloured with brushos and distress inks, I also used some drawing gum to try and keep the white bits white.

As always thanks for visiting!
